New Head Of TD Wealth To Lead "Aggressive" US Growth

Canada’s TD Bank Group has named Brandon Williams as senior vice president and head of TD Wealth, to lead an “aggressive expansion strategy” in the US, the firm said.

Based in New York City, Williams will oversee “all US wealth functions,” serving high net worth, private banking, private investment counsel, private and institutional trust, and mass affluent clients.

He reports to Bharat Masrani, president and chief executive of TD Bank, and Leo Salom, executive vice president of the bank’s wealth advice businesses.

Williams joined TD Bank in 2001 to expand the firm’s retail banking franchise in New York City. Most recently, he served as chief of staff for both Masrani and the bank’s president.

Before TD, Williams was vice president at Dime Savings Bank, where he led the East Coast sales and marketing division for its North American mortgage insurance subsidiary.

TD had C$774 billion  in assets, as of 31 January, and is listed on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges.
